What to do if people make fun of you

Ignore them. Don't talk to them, don't look at them, don't even acknowledge them. I recived a post in my comments about a person with this very problem and you're not alone. I too have a jerk in my life. I can't reveal his name but it not just me he's a jerk too either. I used to talked back to him when he made fun of me and it got us both in trouble. It wasn't worth it. After that I just completely erased his from my life. He basically dosn't exsist to me anymore and nither should any bullies an any other peoples lives.

ugg....

It's been a bit of a while, hasn't it? I STILL don't have the picture developed, if you can beileve it. The camera has 1 photo left and I'm trying to decide what to do with it. Plus I've been extremely sick as of late. But I promise I'll have both the trip report, nd the sonic review up soon!

I'm Back!

New York was a blast! I have yet to develop the photos I took, but I went down broadway, visited the Empire state building, discovered the museum of Natural History, and explored Grand Central Station. I'll have more when the pictures develop.

Sorry I couldn't update sooner, I am going to New York for a family gathering in a few days and my life has been hectic with christmas and preping for the trip. The presents I have gotten so far (Not sure if we are going to have Christmas with the family in New york yet or not) are as follows:

-Custom robo arena for ds
-mortal kombat for ds
-Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games for wii
-Super Mario galaxy for wii (pure awesomeness, hope to have a gamer geek review when I get back)
-20 wii points which were used to buy Dynamite Headdy, and Air "Zonk"
-a wii classic controller (Yes, I'm an avid gamer, sue me)
-rattlesnake egg magnets
-the book of Homer Simpson
-a bunch of fancy clothes
I also come baring good news about my gamer geek blog, but since this is the more popular of my 2 blogs, I may as well post it here: I plan to save up for and get an xbox 360 soon! After I achive this, I plan to get and review both bioshock (looks wicked awesome) and sonic the hedgehog next-gen(I'm a fan of sonic and I fail to believe that this game is as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I like his 3D games, including Shadow.)
In closing, I hope you all had a happy holiday and god bless!

Music and the Autistic mind

I have a very fond love of the world of music, as it is something that I grew up with. My parents were fans of rock, like ACDC and Nirvana and easy listening, like Sting and Don McLean. It's a taste I'm proud to inherit. The bands I've taken a liking to the most are Radiohead, the Police, Coldplay, Daft Punk, and the Beatles. The first concert I went to was Coldplay and I am good at identifing artist on the radio when asked. I think it's safe to say that everyone can and does appreciate the art of music.

True Life: Autism

While surfing the net, I found out that MTV has made a documentary on autism that I thought explained a lot about it. I put it on the side bar for you all to watch. I've heard that many people think the people on this documentary are simply actors and I'm here to tell you that is a flat out lie. In fact, I personally knew some autistic children that needed to use voice boxes and cards just to say that they are thirsty. You simply cannot impersonate what an autistic person goes through...

I do wish MTV followed it's namesake and actually played music instead of going through the life of a spoiled brat. (I'm looking at you, super sweet 16.) :)

Don't be shy...

I notice that only a few people have given me their story. I want to hear about how other people deal with their autism. Please drop me a comment so I can help all of you better.

Pets

I had two guinea pigs. I had them about 7 years. I thought they were cute. I loved them. I hugged and cuddled them. They used to watch TV with me. I didn't like cleaning their cage. Now, I have 3 cats and a dog. My favorite pet is Spooky - the Halloween cat. She is black and orange with long hair. She's there for me and she sleeps with me. She doesn't try to brutalize me like one cat - L.C. And she isn't a grump like my first cat - Sani, who is getting old. Spooky is really curious, she has to go into everything. Our dog is Roscoe - he looks funny. He is a pug. He is very friendly. He likes the cats. There is an outdoor cat that comes around. I named him Pudge. I wanted to adopt him, but Mom said 3 cats was enough. I think people with Autism should have pets because they are good friends.

Autism and Funny Stuff

A lot of people think that having Autism means you don't have a sense of humour. That's not true. Even when I was little I thought all kinds of stuff was funny. I loved to watch cartoons like EEK! The Cat and Ren and Stimpy. (I made my parents sing the Happy Happy Joy Joy song all the time.) I thought my Grandma's dogs - Patch and Taz - were hilarious.
Now, I love to watch South Park and Malcolm in the Middle - shows that pretty much everybody else thinks are funny too. And don't forget the Simpsons - D'oh! I think my little brother and sister can be pretty funny, I think they're going to drive me bonkers too! My friend Jason is funny too, he's a good guy to talk about stuff together.
Just because a kid doesn't talk doesn't mean they don't think things are funny. Keep trying to make them laugh.
